STOP & SHOP HEADQUARTERS

Pre-construction and construction management services for a 200,000 SF renovation of Stop & Shop’s corporate headquarters on Hancock Street in Quincy, MA. The new office layout, by NELSON, introduced open concept co-working spaces at many locations.
The work involved a renovated HVAC system, lighting and electrical service upgrades, fire protection improvements, flooring, partition work, bathroom upgrades, ceiling replacements, cosmetic improvements, and upgrades to the five existing elevators. The scope also included first floor lobby, kitchen, cafeteria, and conference center upgrades.
The ten-story building was fully occupied throughout the process. Work took place on a floor-by-floor basis to minimize disruption.
