Walker School Celebrates Ground Breaking Ceremony

June 2018
NEEDHAM, MA

Bowdoin recently broke ground for the Walker School’s multiphased campus expansion and renovation. The projects, designed by Roundel 47 Architects, will be completed in three phases. First, the new 2,400 s.f. Residence Connector will be a two-story, wood framed connection between two existing residence buildings. The Connector will house new bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry, offices, and a family space. The new 3,400 s.f. Multipurpose Core will also be a wood framed structure and it will house a new gymnasium, storage space, and bathrooms. Finally, the “New School” building, which is currently the existing gym, will be converted into new classrooms. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 13th.
