South Shore Educational Collaborative Wins Community Impact Award

On May 23rd, The Boston Business Journal recognized the South Shore Educational Collaborative (SSEC) of Hingham, with their Best in Boston “Community Impact” Award.  Representatives from FoxRock Properties and SSEC accepted the award in celebration with the entire project team which included Bowdoin Construction and Roth & Seelen Architects.  The ceremony was held at the Sheraton Boston.

The project involved converting an existing industrial warehouse into a new 86,000 s.f. state-of-the-art school for children and adults diagnosed with a wide range of intellectual, educational, emotional, social, physical, and/or medical challenges.  Work entailed the complete renovation of the existing 60,000 s.f. building and the construction of a new 26,000 s.f. addition. The completed facility features classrooms, offices, occupational therapy, indoor pool, gymnasium, fitness center, locker rooms, greenhouse, cafeteria, commercial kitchen, and bathroom facilities.
