Ongoing Progress at The Rivers School New Science and Visual Arts Center

Bowdoin is half-way through construction for a new Science and Visual Arts Center at The Rivers School in Weston. The Science Center will provide new physics and biochemistry labs and classrooms, large science prep rooms, as well as a new independent student research lab. The Visual Arts Center will include a photography lab and classroom, ceramics studios, sculpture and plaster workshop, and drawing, painting, and printmaking studios, as well as new gallery space. New innovation and interdisciplinary space will offer students a digital fabrication studio, six flexible, state of the art classrooms, a robotics workshop, an engineering classroom, as well as faculty offices and collaboration/break out spaces. The exterior amenities will feature a new academic quad with outdoor gathering spaces and an outdoor classroom.
