Congratulations to Brian Collins, on his retirement from Bowdoin Construction

January 2020
Needham Heights, MA

All of us at Bowdoin would like to congratulate Brian Collins on his recent retirement from Bowdoin Construction at the end of 2019, following a career spanning 40 years in the construction industry. Brian began working for Bowdoin as a construction Superintendent in 1980. He moved into Project Management and eventually on to his most recent role as Vice President / General Manager. Brian became a principal of Bowdoin in 2002, and he has provided valuable leadership to the firm. Through the years, Brian was involved in building for all of Bowdoin’s market sectors including Academic/Cultural, Corporate/Industrial/Lab, Medical/Healthcare, Retail/Restaurant, and Residential/Hospitality.

Brian was instrumental in bringing Bowdoin to its current highly-regarded stature in the industry. As Vice President / General Manager Brian’s primary duties involved working in conjunction with both Estimating and Project Management to assess and plan Bowdoin’s construction approach, project schedules, quality control, and safety management. Brian coordinated the transition of projects from Estimating to the Project Management and Supervisory staff. His GM role had him regularly visiting jobsites to support Project Managers and Supervisors in providing proactive solutions for every project.

Thank you for your commitment to Bowdoin, and best to you on your retirement!
