Walker Home and School selected Bowdoin Construction to build three new buildings on their active 7.5 acre operating campus which was the former location of the Needham Dairy. Two of the buildings serve as group residences with a total of thirty-two bedrooms. Each group residence building includes two kitchens, as well as common dining and livingroom areas. The third is their new Partnership Resource Center that serves as both an office and classroom building, and a training center. All three buildings were designed by Elliott Associates. The project also included extensive site work with careful phasing to allow for the relocation of campus activities and foot-traffic safety. The Walker Home and School provides a range of services to students ages 3 to 22 with emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities.
