Agnes Varis Campus Center - Auditorium Addition
Grafton, Massachusetts
Bowdoin recently completed the construction of a new 7,200 s.f. auditorium
addition to the campus center at Tufts University Cummings School of
Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, MA. The project, designed by Finegold
Alexander + Associates, features a tiered-seating auditorium accommodating
200 students with acoustical paneling and state-of-the-art A/V systems,
reception areas, restrooms and a large corridor with slate and retroplated
concrete flooring. The exterior features an entrance plaza with sitting
wall, a 2-story glass vestibule and a facade of sculpted slate, brick and
metal paneling.
Prior to the auditorium, Bowdoin and Finegold Alexander completed the
adaptive reuse of an existing and abandoned 95-year-old 16,000 s.f.
four-story structure into a new multi-use campus center for Tufts.
