The Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts has selected Bowdoin Construction as an Eagle Award winner for the new 86,000 SF South Shore Educational Collaborative (SSEC) facility in Hingham, MA. Bowdoin was presented with the award at the Excellence in Construction Awards dinner on November 19th at Granite Links in Quincy.

Bowdoin worked with FoxRock Properties, SSEC, and Roth & Seelen Architects to convert an existing industrial warehouse into a new 86,000 SF state-of-the-art school for children and adults diagnosed with a wide range of intellectual, educational, emotional, social, physical, and/or medical challenges.  Work entailed the complete renovation of the existing 60,000 SF building and the construction of a new 26,000 SF addition. The completed facility features classrooms, offices, occupational therapy, indoor pool, gymnasium, fitness center, locker rooms, greenhouse, cafeteria, commercial kitchen, and bathroom facilities.
