Bowdoin Holds Lean Training Seminar

Bowdoin Construction recently hosted a company-wide Lean training seminar which was held in Somerville on January 31, 2015.  This full day session included a comprehensive overview of Lean principles, as well as several working sessions where the staff were broken out into teams to conduct simulations that demonstrate the benefits of utilizing the Lean approach.

The Lean process requires buy in from all team members and focuses team efforts on enhanced communication and elimination of waste thus improving overall productivity.  The end result is a much more efficient process that saves time and money, and requires a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Lean seminar was attended by Bowdoin’s Principals, Project Managers, Superintendents, Safety staff, and several subcontractors.
